Side to Side Stitch

This Side to Side Stitch appears in a free pattern called the Textured Crochet Blocks Afghan. It is 1 of 6 motifs that are required for that pattern.

This stitch strongly resembles the look of a corner to corner stitch but without being a corner to corner. It is worked up in straight rows. Depending on the row you are on, it will lean over. Reminds me of a woven look.

To do this stitch in multiples to make it bigger. The stitch multiple is 3 sts.

Thanks for adding this pattern and the instructions to your page. I couldn't find the afghan pattern you mentioned, but you told how to do the pattern, so all good. I used this stitch to make a beanie/slouchy. I did have to remember to turn each round but it really looks good in the round. Thank you for all you and your Crowd do.

Thank you so much Mikey! I saw a sample at Michael's today and had no idea what the stitch was called and didn't really want to spend the time figuring out how to do it myself. I'm making lapghans and thought this would make a lovely one - not too lacy and all one color. I was about to give up when I stumbled onto your wonderful website. Thanks again - I really appreciate it the help.
